The Role
As we continue to grow, we are seeking a dynamic and experienced Director of Care to join our newly formed executive team. You will lead, encourage and respond to the changing needs of the people we support to enable the substantive growth of Leading Lives.
We are looking for a visionary leader with a passion to drive the strategic vision for Leading Lives. Working closely with the Leadership Team you will be responsible for leading on improvement initiatives and strategic ambitions of each service line, ensuring this feeds into the overall mission for Leading Lives.
Accountabilities:
• Overall responsibility for the business strategy and plans to be delivered by the Leadership team, using KPIs to ensure objectives are met and that people receive a high quality of care.
• Respond to sector changes and market intelligence to inform the strategic direction.
• Oversee the financial outputs of the service lines, working closely with the corporate services to ensure that processes are embedded in all service lines.
• Develop effective teams who are responsive and agile to meet with a range of stakeholders including families, paid carers and others who have an interest in the support provided to the customer.
• Be vibrant in the wider sector and contribute to the development of services across networks including user engagement and co production activities.
• Ensure services provided are in accordance with relevant central government, inter-agency and support agency standards and policies.
• Be the nominated individual with the CQC who supervises the regulated activities.
• Contribute to the development of the business strategy, planning and business development, working collaboratively with a range of stakeholders and supporting the Managing Director.

What you need:
• We are looking for someone with a track record of excellent leadership in the Care or voluntary Sector.
• Proven effective leadership skills and experience, or formal qualification in leadership/business.
• You’ll have RQF Level 5 Award in Social Care (or equivalent qualification)
• A comprehensive knowledge of social care legislation and CQC requirements
• Highly effective communication skills across a diverse range of contacts including conflict management, influencing, presentation skills and advice/guidance.
• Ability to influence and challenge at Board level.
• Ability to liaise with Regulatory Bodies, Local Safeguarding and other external stakeholders as appropriate for compliance and quality assurance purposes.
• Proven experience in delivering results and effective decision making.
• Ability to travel to different locations within Suffolk and wider.
