Hours: 39 hours per week
Salary: Up to £21,503.13 pro rata

Who are Thera Group?
Thera Group are a charity that support people with a learning disability. We want to demonstrate that people with a learning disability can be leaders in society but we can’t do this without you! We need Senior Support Workers in Gazeley to make our vision a reality.

What does a Senior Support Worker do?
There East is looking for a full time Senior Support Worker. The role of a Senior Support Worker is to ensure the people we work with are safe, happy and lead fulfilling lives.
Supporting someone with a learning disability isn’t just personal care; it’s so much more. A Senior Support Worker will do everything from taking the people supported to swimming to helping administer the right medication. They will also mentor Support Workers and assist with the overall health and safety.

 

What experience do I need?
Some previous experience in supported living is useful but it isn’t a necessity. If you are caring, kind and want to work in a job that is genuinely rewarding, this is for you.
You’ll need to have great communication skills and be comfortable making decisions. A basic level of English and Math is required and it is preferable that you have mentored others previously.
