SUPPORT WORKER
This is an exciting opportunity to join our team at our new service opening soon in Newmarket and to join one of the fastest growing Care providers in the UK.

The Role
As a Support Worker, you will be working with individuals who have complex and challenging needs, supporting them while promoting their independence and encouraging access into the community. You will be assisting/encouraging them to go about their daily tasks, this can include assisting with shopping trips, attending college, cleaning etc. No two days are the same and the support you provide, makes a huge difference to the individuals we support, helping them to live full and happy lives
We are therefore looking for individuals with a kind and caring nature, who can engage with people at all levels. You will need be to demonstrate the level of patience required to be successful in this role. As a company we pride ourselves on the understanding of Positive Behaviour Support (PBS) and believe this is key to supporting people to overcome personal challenges.

Main duties and responsibilities:
To participate in the day to day implementation of the individual’s support plans and activities within a challenging environment
To maintain effective communication and liaise with the service users, families and other staff members whilst respecting appropriate confidentiality
To prepare meals, cleaning and laundry duties
To maintain accurate notes and records when required
To work as part of a team to provide high quality care
Personal care is required.
Benefits
£9.50 per hour
42 hours per week
5.6 weeks annual leave
DBS check paid by the company prior to starting with us.
