Location: Felixstowe, Suffolk
Support Worker: £9.00/hr rising to £9.50/hr
Full-Time: 36 hours and Bank
The post will require flexibility to complete varied shifts throughout the day, weekends, bank holidays and includes lone waking-night shifts. The shift pattern is over a 4-week rolling rota.

The Role
You will be joining a team which supports 5 adults with a mental health diagnosis. Our aim is to give the people you will be supporting as much control over their own lives as possible.
This is a responsible and varied role which can be challenging and is extremely rewarding. The job is all about giving people encouragement, guidance and support so they can live as independently as possible and have the freedom to make their own choices.
On a daily basis, you will be involved in supporting people with the following activities:
• Cooking
• Cleaning
• Managing finances
• Attending doctor’s/hospital appointments
• Shopping and socialising
• And many more.

About you
Ideally, you will have worked in the mental health care field for a minimum of one year.
The most important skills you can bring are initiative, patience and understanding together with a genuine enthusiasm for wanting to help and support others.
Your natural attributes will be to have the compassion and integrity to treat people with dignity and respect and to be person centred in all aspects of your role.
