Are you looking to make a positive difference to people’s lives?

Consensus Support Services are looking for people who share our values and ethos of supporting people with learning disabilities, autism and complex needs to live a fulfilling life in the way they choose. Through person-centred planning, our aim across all our residential and supported living services is to ensure every individual we support achieves their full potential and has opportunities, choices and success which are meaningful to them.

If you enjoy working as part of a team, are patient and caring with a positive attitude and are looking to join a growing organisation with great benefits, we would love to hear from you. You may be new to care or already have experience in the sector as a Support Worker, Care Worker, Healthcare Assistant or Care Giver. We also recruit for attitude and personality so, if you don’t have all the right skills, we can provide a full induction, relevant training and the support you need to get the most from your role.

The Pines is a modern, pleasant house close to Bury St Edmunds providing a high standard of accommodation for individuals with learning disabilities and complex needs. Some people living at The Pines may also express behaviours which others might find challenging.

With a friendly, encouraging team there is a very positive environment at The Pines. The focus is on providing a person centred, inclusive environment, helping individuals with complex challenges to live a meaningful, fulfilling life. The house is split into two areas which can support individuals requiring intensive support and those who wish to experience more independent living.

You’ll be responsible for supporting an inclusive lifestyle within the community as individuals attend local colleges or day trips out. Develop greater independence and daily living skills by assisting with the upkeep of the service, preparing meals, shopping and domestic duties. Providing help with personal care such as washing, bathing and dressing whilst working across various shift patterns including early, late and weekend and night shifts.
