Support Worker – Harkstead

Contract Type: Permanent/Full Time
Salary Range: £12.10 GBP per Hour

We’re all about possibilities. Are you?

Are you creative and love to throw yourself into craft projects? Do you enjoy being active? is swimming or shopping more of your thing?

Become a Support Worker.

What matters to the people we support matters to us. It’s their life, their way.

We are looking for an imaginative and enthusiastic person to join our team supporting 5 Males in Harkstead. You will be working within their home, so it’s important you can connect, share interests and be interested. We are looking for people who enjoy getting out into the wider community but are equally ready to get stuck into activities back at home too.

The people we support enjoy car rides, exploring the local car boots, the cinema and the odd game of football. If you share these interests, we want to hear from you!

You should be available to work a variety of shifts across the week and some weekends.

An essential part of this role is being a driver and having access to your own vehicle due to its rural location.

So, if you enjoy building meaningful relationships and think you could plan, communicate and deliver support with and alongside people, then this is the place for you.

Affinity Trust does not presently hold a Sponsorship Licence and while this status is reviewed regularly there is no present proposal to apply for such a Licence

What will you do?

Supporting people is really important but it’s not all swimming and crafts. We also support people to take medication, assist with personal care, make healthy lifestyle choices and maintain their home in a way they are safe, well and happy.

It sounds exciting to say no two days will be the same, but in support, sometimes they are. Sometimes people like routine and struggle with change… But when you support someone to try something new – what a feeling!
