Work placements and volunteering opportunities give you a real insight into the sector. If you are thinking about a career in any health or social care profession, a practical work placement in adult social care with give you valuable skills and experience. This can enhance your studies, support your application for university and help you decide on your next steps, such as an apprenticeship.
We will work with you to find out the area of care you are interested in and find the most appropriate care setting to suit your career aspirations.
Work placements are totally bespoke. We can help you find a care provider near where you live, with good transport links to get you there without any hassle, in a role you think you might enjoy. We will pay for your DBS check and support you every step of the way.
How long does it take?
That is entirely up to you!!!
You can volunteer for a day, 2 hours a week for as long as you like or attend a block work placement for a week or two.
