£12.42 per hour, 20 hours per week

We have an exciting opportunity for an experienced and engaging Night Senior Care and Support Assistant to lead our team of Care and Support Assistants. This is the ideal role if you want to make a positive impact to people’s lives whilst also benefiting from your own career development. We are looking for a team player with previous supervisory experience who would like to play a key role in assisting constructive transition and contributing to the positive experience of our customers. If you have a ‘can do’ attitude, are passionate about care, thrive under pressure and are adept at managing challenging situations, then we want to hear from you. Montague Road is a care home supporting 24 people with mental health needs in later life, including complex dementia. We have recently added the role of Night Senior Support Assistant to our structure and are looking for dedicated, passionate people who have experience working in a busy setting to continue to enhance our team and the lives of the people we support. On site free parking is available at Montague Road. This position is not for sponsorship.

 

The Role –

Leading a team of Care and Support Assistants – Working closely with staff to provide personal care and support to residents, encouraging them to enhance their independence and personal potential – Safe handling of medication – Building and maintaining relationships with internal and external customers – Promoting safe practices and undertaking risk assessments as appropriate – Managing and implementing safeguarding principles to ensure the safety of our customers

 

Skills & Experience –

Previous experience supervising a team – Personalised approach to care and support, with strong interpersonal skills and the ability to form positive relationships with people from varied backgrounds – Recent experience of working in a similar role with vulnerable people is essential – Enthusiastic and flexible with a strong “can-do” attitude – Strong organisational skills as well as functional literacy and numeracy – NVQ level 2 in Health and Social Care, or willing to work towards – Understanding of relevant legislation and best practice
