Join our team between 01st March and the 31st March 2023 and earn our March Joining Bonus: £300 part time and £600 full time

We have an exciting opportunity for a Care Assistant to join our friendly team here at First Choice Home Care.

Job title: Care Assistant

Location: Halesworth, Suffolk

Salary: £12 up to £13 per hour + Benefits (listed below)

Shift Pattern: 7am – 2pm and 2pm – 10pm, we can be flexible with start and finishing times. At least 1 to 2 evenings a week, every other weekend (even if is half days) is required. This will be agreed with the Registered Manager.

You will be responsible for:

Ensure Care Plans are read and followed accurately.
Advise, assist or undertake general housework.
Advise, assist with or attend to the appropriate personal needs of the Service User, which will include dressing, washing, toileting, feeding, and more.
Administering medication as per MAR Chart.
Be responsible for promoting and safeguarding the welfare of those individuals you support.
Our ideal candidate will:

Have a driving licence and own car due to the location of some service users (in some locations we may be able to have care workers that don’t drive).
Seek opportunities for personal and professional growth.
Be punctual, and smart in personal appearance, by wearing Company uniform and adhering to relevant health and safety procedures.
Be professional, polite, and reasonable at all times.
Have previous experience of working in a similar role / environment (desired but not essential).
