Purely Care

We are recruiting for experienced care workers to support elderly and disabled clients in their own homes as a live-in carer. We have a range of clients, including younger adults with physical disabilities or long term health conditions, elderly people who may be infirm due to age, have complex conditions or dementia.

To be a good live-in carer you need to be cheerful and talkative, resourceful and able to deal with problems as they arise, non-judgemental and patient with people who are not as quick or efficient as you! You must have good spoken and written English and a high standard of personal and domestic hygiene. You should also be able to cook basic family meals.

We support our clients to live their lives the way they want to, so duties will vary depending on the needs of each client. Duties are likely to include helping with personal care such as washing, dressing and changing pads, assisting with food and medication, dealing with medical appointments, light housework and shopping. You need to be physically fit as you could be pushing a wheelchair or using a hoist.

We usually provide a 5-day induction that meets the national Skills for Care requirements. Training is held in Norwich and accommodation is available during training. Special arrangements for training are being made during the covid19 crisis.

Quick start available for applicants with DBS Update subscription and up to date training certificates.

Work patterns are variable depending on the needs of the client, but can be a minimum of 1 week up to around 4 weeks continuous work. You need to have your own home to return to during your weeks off.

For those carers who like variety, we have opportunities to work as a relief where you will work with a number of different clients. For those who prefer stability we try to find you a regular placement.

You would be employed by Purely Care, this is NOT self-employed work. A new or updated criminal record check will be required and excellent professional references. Previous nursing or care experience is ESSENTIAL. Jobs requiring drivers have a higher rate of pay.

Call 01603407707 or email your CV to info@purelycare.co.uk.

Initial interviews are available on Skype or WhatsApp. Applicants must already have the right to work in UK or relevant visa.
