Full Time and Part Time hours available, up to 36 hours per week

Clover Court is very proud to have a Suffolk Care Award in promoting dignity and respect in every day life, and we are we are currently recruiting for a Care and Support Assistant to provide personal care and support to our residents living with physical disabilities. Rated as ‘Outstanding’ by the CQC, Clover Court is a fast-paced environment where no two days are the same! Located near the centre of Lowestoft close to public transport links and the seafront, Clover Court consists of 20 one-bedroom apartments designed to meet the needs of people with physical disabilities. We provide personalised care to our residents to encourage them to live as independently as possible. We value our team and encourage learning and progression through our comprehensive induction programme, as well as on-going training to develop new and existing skills and encourage progression. The Role

Delivering a high level of personalised support and encouraging our residents to live as independently as possible – Expertly supporting residents with personal care, such as washing, dressing, bathing and hygiene – Administering medication – Assisting residents with shopping, cleaning and laundry tasks – Helping residents to arrange and attend appointments i.e. with their GP – Promoting a positive culture by engaging with residents to prevent social isolation – Promoting safe practices and undertaking risk assessments – Implementing safeguarding principles to ensure the safety of our residents – Keeping accurate and up-to-date records

 

Skills and Experience:

Personalised approach, ideally with experience within a similar, care related role – Enthusiastic and flexible with a strong “can-do” attitude – Strong organisational skills as well as functional literacy and numeracy – Good communication skills, allowing you to build relationships with residents – Ability to react quickly to changing priorities whilst working to deadlines and targets – NVQ level 2 in Health and Social Care or willing to work towards is desirable
